Set against the backdrop of the restoration of one of Amsterdam’s most important buildings, number 386 on the Herengracht, built by Philip Vingboons the documentary will follow the lead-up to the exhibition on the history of the ring-canals planned to open in April 2011, bringing to life the history of the canals, as well as the fascinating history of the building on the Herengracht 386.
