In many places around the world freedom is still a rare commodity. Eritrean gospel singer Helen Berhane was arrested in Eritrea because of her pinkster religion. During imprisonment she was tortured but she refused to give up her religion. Today she lives in Denmark and is free to tell her story. Her story is intertwined with testimonials of people from all over the world including Cuba, China and Iran whose loved ones are still held in prison because they stood up for their rights, including freedom of speech or a fair justice system.
